The 37th Annual Apple Pie Craft Fair will be held rain or shine, Saturday, August 28, 2010. As you may know, the Apple Pie Craft Fair is an annual event sponsored by the Library Arts Center to raise funds for exhibits, classes, and programs. The fair is open to both amateur and professional artists and craftspeople and will provide an opportunity to exhibit, market, and demonstrate your work. The fair primarily showcases locally HAND MADE CRAFT. The fair also welcomes food vendors.

We hope you will join us! The Apple Pie Craft Fair, combined with the Richards Free Library Book Festival will attract people to Newport from a wide range of surrounding communities. The fair features an apple pie contest, live music throughout the day, and food vendors.

**NEW IN 2010 –PLEASE READ
Additionally, a small number of booths are allowed that do NOT showcase handmade craft. Vendors, persons or groups that might fall into this category are: non-profit organizations that wish to distribute information about services, vendors who do NOT sell goods that are handmade (such as Pampered Chef, Creative Memories, etc.), or vendors that sell craft that is NOT locally handmade. The Library Arts Center strives to uphold the integrity of the Fair as a craft fair, and therefore, the number of non-craft vendors is kept to a minimum. No more than 10% of all booths at the fair will include non-craft vendors. A committee from the Library Arts Center will meet to decide which non-craft vendors will be granted spaces for the 2010 Fair. Non-craft vendors need not apply after July 1, 2010. If you would like to apply for a non-craft booth, in addition to submitting the application form, please submit a detailed description of what you plan on selling, marketing, or displaying in your booth. This description may be accompanied by pictures or website references. The committee will make decisions by July 5, 2010.

This is a NON-JURIED show, however, ALL merchandise and food sold is subject to approval by the Library Arts Center Board of Trustees.

The $60.00 space fee is non-refundable after August 14, 2010. Registrations received after July 10th will have a late fee of $10. No vendor is accepted for booth space until payment is received in full. No booths will be booked on the morning of the fair. Spaces measure a generous 15 by 15 ft. You will be responsible for providing your own display table, tent (in case of rain and for shade) and managing your own sales transactions.

Please complete and print the form using the link below, and send to the Library Arts Center, 58 North Main Street, Newport, NH 03773, with your check payable to: Library Arts Center. You will be assigned a reserved space. Requests for specific spaces will be considered, however, we are not able to accommodate all specific requests. We strongly recommend that you bring your own sun tent for shade for both yourself and your booth patrons. Requests for placement in the shade will not be granted.

A list of reserved locations will be posted at the bandstand on the common the evening before the fair. Please indicate if you need a map to Newport. Crafters MUST move their vehicles from around the common after unloading, in order to make room for customers to park. No exceptions will be made. Take this into consideration before applying for the fair. As the fair nears, please check our website for updates, maps, driving directions, and additional information.

For information, please call the Library Arts Center at 603-863-3040, or email lac@nhvt.net
