Gallery Drop-in this Saturday!

Stop by to make Crafts to celebrate Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month!
Sat. April 27th | Drop-in between 10:00-2:00pm in the Library Arts Center Gallery
Free! All are welcome to participate.
Drop in to the gallery to create a variety of fun crafts in celebration of Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month (May)! Participants may choose from making Chinese Dragon Puppets, Indonesian Shadow Puppets, and Japanese Kokeshi Doll Notepads. This project is designed for artists of all ages and abilities.
All supplies and materials are provided. FREE to participate and all are welcome to come and get creative in the gallery.

Now on exhibit in the West Gallery: a student exhibition of comics created by children at Richards School in Newport during an artist residency with cartoonist Marek Bennett.

Gallery Drop-in Art Project | Step-by-Step Landscape Painting in Gouache⁠

Drop-in between 10:00-2:00pm in the Library Arts Center Gallery⁠

Free! All are welcome to participate.⁠
⁠
Drop-in to the gallery to create a similar stunning gouache landscape with guidance and step-by-step instruction from artist Heidi Lorenz. Gouache is opaque watercolor paint, and this drop-in is a great opportunity to explore and experiment with it, while also creating a gorgeous finished art piece. This process is designed to engage artists of all ages and abilities.⁠
