2013 LIBRARY ARTS CENTER JURIED REGIONAL EXHIBITION
Many thanks to ALL the artists of the region who submitted work for the Juried Regional Exhibit.
2013 Jurors Amanda McGowan Lacasse (Corporate Art Consultant, McGowan Fine Art, Concord, New Hampshire) and Camellia Sousa (Gallery & Store Director, Sharon Arts Center, Peterborough, New Hampshire) viewed 125 submitted pieces, and chose approximately half this number to hang in this year’s exhibit. The Library Arts Center’s Juried Regional is a juried exhibit, selected by arts professionals familiar with regional art work. The show features painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, photography and mixed media.
Exhibit runs April 27-May 30, 2013
Opening Reception: Friday, April 26 5-7pm. Participating artists are encouraged to attend, and the event is open to the public. Wine and light refreshements will be served.
PICK UP:
Pickup for work NOT selected for the exhibit :Work that is NOT selected for the exhibit will not be insured past the official pickup date & must be picked up promptly. Pickup dates for unselected work are Friday, April 19, 2pm-4pm OR Saturday April 20, 10am – 12noon or other arrangement made with the director. Work selected for the exhibit must stay for the entire exhibit, and is subject to 30% LAC commission on sales if you choose to have it for sale.
Pickup for work included in the exhibit : Work may be picked up after the close of the exhibit Friday May 31st from 11:00-4:00pm or by appointment on Saturday June 1st from 10am – 12noon. Prompt pick-up or arrangements for pick-up are essential. Work in the exhibit is insured until pick-up dates. No exceptions are made for work to be picked up before the close of the exhibit.
SELECTIONS COMPETITION: Artists were also encouraged to also compete for a chance to exhibit their work next year’s Library Arts Center Selections Exhibit. Jurors chose seven artists based on their work submitted for the Juried Regional, and also an extended portfolio of work. These artists will return to the Arts Center and exhibit a larger body of work in a group show to be held in the gallery during the 2014 exhibit season.
